Our Mission:

Change the paradigm around chronic pain diagnosis & treatment.

Approximately 2 Billion people on the planet suffer from chronic pain.

Frustratingly, though, the predominant model of chronic pain treatment is centered around the idea that pain is solely a structural/anatomic issue. This model is outdated, irresponsible, and harmful. Millions of pain sufferers are being advised to pursue unhelpful - and even harmful - treatment modalities that often leave them feeling frustrated, helpless, confused, and still in pain.

At Bloom, we are committed to a paradigm shift around chronic pain treatment. After extensive review of the scientific literature, we recognize that the majority of chronic pain cases are attributed to neuroplastic causes, and that treatments should reflect as such.

We are committed to educating and serving our clients accordingly, and we strive to collaborate with likeminded practitioners who are similarly passionate about helping folks with neuroplastic pain through mind-body medicine.

toning of chronic pain personality traits

What do high achievers, perfectionists, people pleasers, and first born daughters all have in common? They are highly capable, hyper self-critical, and often ignore their own needs in service of others. Sure, being a Type A badass is a superpower in many aspects/ roles in your life! But the constant, unconscious steamrolling over your own needs has resulted in a pattern of emotional self-neglect. So, to get your attention, your body has decided to send you the loudest signal it can think of: enter in chronic pain.

With the help of Bloom, you’ll heal physical symptoms by learning to minimize self-abandonment. The antidote: incorporating self-compassion into your internal vernacular. You’ll come to understandthat high symptom days (or seasons) are signs of increased self abandonment or self-criticism. Armed with your new understanding how pain arises, you’ll develop your own self-healing secret sauce to keep symptoms away for GOOD. *While allowing the badass parts of you to shine through, of course.

Tools of choice: Internal Family Systems (IFS, “parts” work), guided journaling, guided meditations, specialized readings & podcast recommendations.
